Kim Woo-jin (Cheongju City Hall) and Lim Si-hyun (Korea National Sports University), who won three archery medals, were selected as the best player (MVP) for the South Korean team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Korea Sports Council held a press conference on the 11th (Korea time) at the Korea House in Maison de la Simi, an international conference space in downtown Paris, France, and announced that Kim Woo-jin and Lim Ji-hyun were MVP.

In order to boost the team's morale and encourage hard work at last year's Hangzhou Asian Games, the sports association selected one man and woman as MVP through a vote of a press corps for the first time. At that time, Lim Si-hyun, who won three gold medals in archery, and Kim Woo-min (Gangwon Provincial Office), who won three gold medals in swimming management, were named the first MVP of the Korean team.

The MVP of the Paris Olympics was Kim Woo-jin and Lim Ji-hyun, who took the lead in five archery events. Kim Woo-jin won three gold medals in the men's individual, team, and mixed events, and in the women's individual, team, and mixed events. It is the first time that the Korean archery team has swept all five disciplines at the Olympics and has produced three men's and women's gold medals at the same time. In particular, Kim Woo-jin won a total of five gold medals at the Olympics, becoming the most gold medalist for Korean athletes ever. After winning three gold medals in two consecutive major international competitions, Lim Si-hyun achieved an amazing achievement of being MVP for two consecutive times.

Kim Woo-jin and Lim Si-hyun are expected to receive about 30 million won each as prize money.

South Korea participated in this competition with the least number of athletes (144) in 48 years, but tied the record for the most gold medals (13) in a single competition. As of the 10th, Korea has won 13 gold medals, eight silver medals, and nine bronze medals, ranking seventh in the medal table, exceeding its original goal of reaching the top 15 with five gold medals.
