'Korea Sgt. Cho Young-jae's first ever 25m rapid fire pistol medal!韓사격 금3-은3 역대 최고성적

At the Chatoru shooting range, the silver gunshots of the Republic of Korea rang out until the last day of the Paris Olympics.

Sergeant Cho Young-jae (25, Korean military athletic unit) became the sixth Korean shooter at the Paris Olympics with the first medal in Korean rapid fire pistol history.

Cho Young-jae won the silver medal with 25 points in the men's 25-meter rapid fire pistol final at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the Chatoru Shooting Center in France on the 5th (Korea Standard Time).

Shooting, which he first went to the shooting range with his older brother when he was in sixth grade in elementary school in 2011, changed his fate. His skills have improved by eating a bowl of rice at the Gyeonggi Provincial Government with celebrities such as Lee Dae-myung and Kim Seo-joon. Cho Young-jae, who said he would have become an astronomer if he had not been a shooter, is an active sergeant on Sept. 19. About a month before his discharge, he won a thrilling silver medal and was discharged early.

South Korea's shooting has become the best beneficiary of the South Korean team, winning a total of six medals with three gold and three silver medals, surpassing three gold and two silver medals at the 2012 London Olympics. After Oh Ye-jin (19, IBK Industrial Bank), Ban Hyo-jin (16, Daegu Sports High School), Yang Ji-in (21, Korea Sports University), Park Ha-joon (24, KT) and Geum Ji-hyun (24, Gyeonggi Provincial Government), and Kim Ye-ji (31, Imsil County Office)'s air pistol silver medal, Cho Young-jae won the silver medal.
