The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation holds an award ceremony for the 2024 Sports Industry Start-up Idea Contest
The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) announced that it held an award ceremony for the "2024 SPORTS-UP Challenge", a sports industry start-up idea contest, this year with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Since June, the Korea Sports Corporation has selected five outstanding works, including the top prize, through document and presentation evaluations. The grand prize was selected as a company that submitted sports gloves and footwear items using eco-friendly new materials 'Saitan', and a prize of 5 million won was awarded along with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award.

The team that won the Excellence Award (Healing Heart and Field Mentor) and the Encouragement Award (SG Lab, 9.57) was also awarded the prize (3 million won, 1.5 million won) along with the chairman of the Korea Sports Corporation. In addition, all award teams were also provided with a ticket to the finals of the 'Challenge! K-Startup', a pan-ministerial integrated idea contest organized by the Startup Promotion Agency.

Following the awards ceremony, the 「Sports Startup Company Networking Day」 was held with 32 companies participating in the sports field, and they had time to share their startup know-how and best practices. In particular, special lectures related to successful start-up cases and start-up strategies of four senior companies (Brojay, Doctor Diary, Jake Global, Moise) were also held, which received great response from the participants.

Park Yong-cheol, Executive Director of the Korea Sports Corporation, who attended the event, said, "I would like to express my gratitude to the award-winning team and all the participating teams for discovering innovative items in the sports industry. We will continue to provide active support for the discovery of ideas for the sports industry and the expansion of exchanges between start-ups."," he said.
