On the 7th, KT won the match against KIA 13 to 2 at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju. Starting from the first inning, he scored three points to lighten starter Um Sang-baek's shoulders. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Kim Do-young struck out and Na Sung-beom failed to show decisive power in the bases-loaded chance made by Park Jung-woo and Seo Geon-chang's walk and Park Chan-ho's hit.

KT, where Um Sang-baek pitched scoreless until the sixth inning, operated the bullpen from the seventh inning. KIA scored a chase with Byun Woo-hyuk's sacrifice fly to center field in the bottom of the seventh inning with no outs and a bases loaded chance against KT Woo Kyu-min with Seo Geon-chang's walk and Hong Jong-pyo and Lee Chang-jin's consecutive hits. However, Choi Won-joon struck out and Lee Woo-sung only grounded out, so he did not get any more points. KT's sovereignty blocked the eighth inning. KIA had to settle for one more point in the top of the ninth inning when Lee Chang-jin fired a solo shot.
