KT Wiz avenged their defeat a day earlier as they defeated the KIA Tigers.

On the 7th, KT won the match against KIA 13 to 2 at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju. Starting from the first inning, he scored three points to lighten starter Um Sang-baek's shoulders. He also widened the gap by scoring three points in the third inning, and scored in succession in the fourth and sixth innings to win the game. Starting pitcher Um Sang-baek contributed to the victory by throwing a clean sheet until the sixth inning. KIA bowled as James Nail pitched only three ⅔ innings, the minimum of the season, amid fielders' errors, and the batters also failed to target Um Sang-baek. KT had 51 wins, two draws and 53 losses, while KIA had 62 wins, two draws and 43 losses.

KT gained momentum from the top of the first inning. Starting with a hit by the leadoff batter Rojas, KIA Park Jung-woo missed Kang Baek-ho's fly ball to center field, and Rojas homered and scored the first run when Jang Sung-woo grounded out. Since then, Oh Jae-il's timely hit continued, making it 3-0.

The bat also fired at the top of the third inning.
