The double-digit gold medal for the South Korean team at the Paris Olympics is imminent.

As of Aug. 4, South Korea has won a total of 21 medals, including nine gold medals, seven silver medals, and five bronze medals, at the Paris Olympics. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are continuing at each stadium, including archery, shooting, fencing, judo, table tennis, and boxing. Even if it's not necessarily a gold medal, new records are also pouring into Korean sports history, including the first women's sabre team silver in history, Kim Min-jong's first heavyweight silver in judo, Lim Ae-ji's first bronze medal in women's boxing, Shin Yoo-bin's first bronze medal in table tennis in 12 years, the first bronze medal in women's singles semifinals in 20 years, and the first bronze medal in judo mixed team events.

A double-digit gold medal is on the horizon for the first time in 12 years since the 2012 London Olympics (13, silver 9, bronze 8). The 'bow, gun, knife' events worked hard. Archery dominated four medals: men's and women's team events, mixed team events, and women's individual events. In the men's individual archery competition to be held on the 4th, South Korea will challenge for the 10th gold medal of the South Korean team along with a sweep of five events. Shooting in Chatoru is Paris' best filial sport. Daring MZ snipers, including Oh Ye-jin, Ban Hyo-jin, and Yang Ji-in, hit three gold medals and two silver medals.

Fencing won two gold medals and one silver medal, thanks to the performances of 'New Avengers' and 'Yeopens'. 'Sabre Emperor' Oh Sang-wook swept both individual and team events, becoming the first two-time Korean fencing champion.

As events such as badminton, taekwondo, modern pentathlon, and high jump remain in the second half of the tournament, attention is focusing on how many more medals will be won.

South Korea drew a downward curve of gold 9, silver 3, bronze 9 in Rio in 2016, gold 6, silver 4, and bronze 10 in Tokyo in 2021, and aimed for five to six gold medals and the top 15 overall at the Paris Olympics. Lee Ki-heung, president of the Korea Olympic Committee, said, `I have participated in seven Summer Olympics, but Olympic medals are really difficult to predict accurately. I can't tell. He said he set his goal conservatively, but we set our goal according to objective data. "I expected about five gold medals from Korea overseas, including Sports Illustrated and Rounding." We also won five gold medals in accordance with objective data. "Unplanned scenarios are being created. I can only say that I do my best at every moment until the end of the day as much as I can. " `One-team Korea's strong teamwork was expressed and motivated the players to do it themselves in a sense of crisis,' he said."No one knows how far it will go. I think I will get better results than I expected" he said.
