'Looking for a new name for the Rookie Player Award!' KOVO, name contest for volleyball fans
The name of the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) Rookie of the Year award will be changed.

In March, the federation's board of directors changed the rookie award, which only first-year players could win, to allow third-year players to win from this 2024-2025 season. Accordingly, the federation will conduct a contest for volleyball fans in search of a new name for the newly reborn rookie player award.

The public offering period will run from Aug. 21 to Aug. 27 at 5 p.m., with the new name set to be announced before the opening of the 2024-2025 season. In addition, two of the participating fans will be given a handwritten uniform of the 2024-2025 season winner through a lottery, and 20 will be given a small gift.

Details of the contest can be found on the official SNS of the Korean Volleyball Federation.
