Shin Yoo-bin (Korean Air) expressed deep regret after narrowly missing his first bronze medal in 20 years.
Shin Yu-bin, who met in the mixed zone shortly after losing to Japanese top-ranked Hina Hayata 2-4 in the bronze medal match at the Paris Olympics on the 3rd (Korea time), held back his tears. Tears welled up around my eyes. Finding a Korean women's table tennis medal for the first time in 20 years has been a long-cherished dream for both Shin Yoo-bin and Korean table tennis.

Asked about his singles goals when he entered Paris, he said, `It was actually a medal, but I think it's a little disappointing"I bit my lips. Shin Yu-bin said, `It's too bad, but I think that's my best. I think this is my skill and I have to work harder"I acknowledged my defeat.
It was impressive to see Shin Yu-bin overcome his left wrist injury and give heartfelt congratulations to his opponent, Hina Hayata, who won the bronze medal with his hard work. Shin Yu-bin said, `I've seen it from the side, but I acknowledged that because all the players are trying and everyone is desperate, and I did it because I want to be such a solid player.' "I think the results came out as much as I've worked hard for three years. I think a medal winner deserves a medal because he has put in a greater effort"and did not lose the dignity of the beautiful loser.
