'Magnet Jung' is one of the nicknames of SSG Landers Choi Jeong.

It's not a sweet nickname that comes out because there are many balls that fit the body. It is a 'tragedy' created by overlapping the batting form with the left arm entering deep in the direction of the home plate and the winning move of the opposing pitcher who wants to attack it in reverse. In the 2021 season, the U.S. Major League Baseball set a world record, surpassing the record of the most dunes (287 pitches) held by Hugh Jennings.

Choi Jung set another record with 'Dune'.

Choi Jung-eun got on base with a hit ball at the first and second bases in the top of the seventh inning against the KIA Tigers at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 28th. Choi Jung-eun, who walked in the previous at-bat, added two four pitches on the day, tying Yang Joon-hyuk's record in the category (1,278 walks and 102 dunes) with 1,380 four pitches (1032 walks and 348 dunes). A new record is set by adding a walk or one more hit ball.

With the addition of one dune on the day, the season's personal record for Choi Jeong has increased to 20. Since his professional debut in 2005, there have been 11 seasons with 20 or more dunes. It recorded 20 dunes for five consecutive years from 2009 to 2013, and 20 dunes for four consecutive years from 2018 to 2021. As many as 26 dunes were hit in 2019. After 22 dunes in the 2021 season, the number seemed to be decreasing to 2022 (19) and 2023 (15), but this year, he eventually got 20 dunes, proving himself why the nickname 'Magnet Jung' was given.
