Yoo Dong-joo picked up 168kg in the men's 89kg weightlifting event at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at South Paris Arena 6 in Paris, France on the 10th (Korea time) and 203kg in total. Yoo Dong-ju came in sixth out of 12.
Yoo Dong-joo, who missed the barbell while trying 163kg in the first period of the increase, was relieved to lift the same weight in the second period. He then roared with 168 kilograms in the third period. It was a personal record.
Yoo Dong-joo, who finished the increase in 7th place, got off to a good start with 203kg in the first period of Yongsang. Meanwhile, Carlos Nasar (Bulgaria) won the match with a total world record of 404kg (180kg in raise and 224kg in meltdown).
