Yoo Dong-ju, who had a total of 340kg at the Rio Olympics and 360kg at the Tokyo Olympics, had to increase his total record to 371kg at the event and be satisfied with ranking sixth, an individual record.

Meanwhile, Carlos Nasar (Bulgaria) won the match with a total world record of 404kg (180kg in raise and 224kg in meltdown). It is a new record that exceeds the previous world record of 396kg set by Li Dain (China) at the Jinju Asian Championships in May 2023 by 8kg.
