On the 2nd, the official channel of the Korea Professional Football Federation announced that the 29th round of the match between Jeju and Hana Bank K League 1 2024, which was scheduled to be held at Jeju World Cup Stadium on the 31st, has been changed to 6 p.m. on the 1st of next month.
A Jeju official explained that it was inevitable to change the schedule in terms of "protection of players in the hot weather" according to the second round of the 2024 Hana Bank Korea Cup semifinals scheduled for the 28th.
After playing Suwon FC in the 28th round of the league on the 25th, Jeju had a tight schedule to play the Korea Cup on the 28th and play three games for six days until the game against Gimcheon on the 31st. The away team Gimcheon accepted the request to postpone the game by one day.
Gimcheon has a relatively relaxed schedule because there is no midweek game after playing a home game against Daejeon Hana on the 25th. After the 29th round, the A-match break in September will begin.
Jeju's opponent for the Korea Cup has yet to be decided. The detailed schedule with the opposing team will be decided at the draw ceremony for the semifinal match of the Korea Cup on the 5th. The semi-finals of the Korea Cup will be held at home and away on the 21st and 28th. The teams that reached the semifinals were Jeju, Jeju, Gwangju, and Ulsan.
