 Chairman Chung Mong-gyu's appointment as vice chairman of the AFC Member Association Committee will continue until 2027



Chung Mong-gyu, chairman of the Korea Football Association, will serve as vice chairman of the AFC Associations Committee, a permanent committee under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

AFC recently announced in an official letter that it will appoint Chairman Chung as vice chairman of the Member Association Committee through the appointment of Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and approval of the executive members. The term of office is until 2027.

One of the 16 permanent committees, the committee is a committee that monitors and discusses issues related to the relationship between the AFC and the Association of Member States. He is currently the chairman of the Lebanese Football Association, Hachem Haidar.



Chairman Chung was elected as a member of the executive committee, the AFC's highest voting body, at the AFC General Assembly in May.
