"Tang! Tang! Tang!"

On the morning of the 25th, the men's professional volleyball training ground in Shizuoka, Japan, was full of ball sounds. OK Savings Bank coach Ogino Massage ordered the players' receiving training on the first day of the off-season training.

The players were busy getting hit by coach Ogino. The way he moved for accurate reception while moving his seat reminded me of a real game. Coach Ogino turned the ball over again if he didn't receive it properly. In volleyball, receiving is the beginning of every attack. If the receiving is weak, it is difficult for the setter to raise the ball, so receiving elaborately is important for effective attacks.

Coach Ogino is raising his team to minimize his own mistakes. If you make a mistake in receiving, you can't even try to attack at all, so the purpose is to reduce mistakes in the most basic places. So coach Ogino continued training, emphasizing the role of a receiver receiving a serve.

Captain Bu Yong-chan, as well as Ki Sung-long (China), Shin Sung-ho, Song Hee-chae, and Kim Woong-bi in the Asian quarter warmed up by receiving the ball from coach Ogino. New foreign player Manuel Lucconi of Italy only focused on weight training due to minor injury right before coming to Japan's training camp.

Coach Ogino coached three sets separately after concentrating on receiving training for an hour. With Lee Min-kyu missing out on off-season training due to rehabilitation, Kang Jung-min, Park Tae-sung and Jung Jin-hyuk repeated the training of tossing the ball handed over by coach Ogino to the correct position. If even one of the three did not get the ball to the desired position, all of them were given a push-up penalty.

This training is a preparatory work to hold a series of practice games with Toray and Tsukuba University players the next day. Japanese volleyball is basically excellent in defense, so we trained accordingly. Boo Yong-chan "Since the coach is Japanese, he knows Japanese volleyball better than anyone else. The players are also looking forward to this practice game, and I think it will be a time to learn again."

Weight training also continued. In particular, a pulley machine that three people can do at once attracted attention. Although the Toray Weight Training Center is smaller than the OK Savings Bank Training Center, it was full of expensive exercise equipment. It's not a state-of-the-art device, but it's got the best. Park Won-bin and Cha Ji-hwan actively participated in weight training and prepared for the practice game the next day. Trainer Kim Yoon-jin said, `This training session is designed to help players maintain their physical condition because the purpose is to practice games," he said.
