An Se Young received a bye into the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Yamaguchi defeated Supanida Katethong of Thailand in the round of 16 women's singles at Arena Porte de La Chapelle in Paris, France, on the 2nd (Korea time), winning with a score of 2-0 (21-6, 21-13).

An Se Young and Akane Yamaguchi will face each other on the 3rd for a spot in the semifinals. An Se young has been performing flawlessly, overwhelming her opponents with her unique combination of powerful speed and soft strokes.
