Lee Do-hyun (21, Seoul City Hall, Black Yak), who tried to win the first Olympic medal in Korean sports climbing history, failed to advance to the final round.

Lee Do-hyun ranked 17th with only 12.0 points in the men's combination (bouldering + lead) semi-final lead event at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at Le Bourget Climbing Stadium in Paris, France on the 7th (Korea time). Lee Do-hyun, who received 34.0 points in the semi-final bouldering held on the 5th, ranked 10th out of 20 players, scored 46.0 points in total for bouldering and lead and ranked 15th overall. In the combine semifinals, the top eight players will make the final round, including bouldering and lead scores.

Lee Do-hyun, who has shown strength in bouldering, finished without completing one of the four questions in the bouldering event earlier. Even in the lead on the day, he slipped in the middle and failed to completely finish.

Bouldering is an event in which an artificial structure (hold) installed on a 4.5-meter-high rock wall must be passed within a set time, and the lead played on the day is an event in which a hold installed on a 15-meter-high rock wall is held and a six-minute height is contested.

Lee Do-hyun, the men's silver medalist in the combine at the Hangzhou Asian Games, was ranked third in the world rankings, 10th in the lead, and 8th in the combined ranking of bouldering and lead, which raised a lot of expectations for the tournament. Unfortunately, he finished his first Olympics bitterly.
