Park Tae-joon and Lim Ae-ji will join the Korean team at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics at Stade de France in Saint-Denis at 4 a.m. on the 12th (Korea time).
Park Tae-joon won the gold medal in the men's 58kg Taekwondo class at this competition. Park Tae-joon is the first Korean taekwondo to win a gold medal in this weight class. It was the first gold medal of the tournament by Korean taekwondo, which washed away the no gold medal at the Tokyo Games, and the 12th gold medal of the Korean team.
Lim Ae-ji won a bronze medal in the women's 54kg class. It is the first Olympic medal for Korean female boxing athletes and the first medal that Korean boxing has won in 12 years since the 2012 London Games.
Unlike the opening ceremony, there is no separate order of appearance at the closing ceremony.
The Paris Olympics, which began on the 27th of last month with a march on the Seine River across Paris, will end on the same day after a 17-day battle. The 2028 Olympics will be held in Los Angeles (LA), the United States.
