Kim Ha-yoon (24, Ansan City Hall), the Korean female judo star, won a valuable bronze medal.

Kim Ha-yoon beat Kyra Ozdemir (Turkiye) in the women's 78kg or higher bronze medal match at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the Chandemars Stadium in Paris, France on the 3rd (Korea time).

The Korean team has won the most heavyweight women's judo medal in 24 years since the 2000 Sydney Olympics (Kim Sun-young's bronze medal).



Kim Ha-yoon went through a consolation match. In the consolation match, he won half of the game against Larissa Cherich (Bosnia Hercegovina).

After exchanging maps one by one, he won the half with Andari Fugi at 55 seconds of the game. Afterwards, he achieved a great achievement by catching Ozdemir in the bronze medal match.
