Kim Joo-hyung (22) finished the competition as the highest ranking in the Korean men's Olympics. He shot a 3-under 68 with six birdies, one bogey and one double bogey in the final fourth round of men's golf at the 2024 Paris Olympics, held at Le Golf Nashonal (par 71) in Giancourt, near Paris, France on the 5th (Korea time). Kim Joo-hyung, who recorded a total of 13-under 271, ranked eighth in the final. In the 2016 Rio Games, Ahn Byung-hoon tied for 11th place, recording his first ever 'Top 10'.
Kim Joo-hyung, who entered the final round tied for sixth place by four strokes with the lead, inflated his dream of a medal by scoring four birdies in the first half. However, he lost one shot in the second half, recording two birdies, one bogey and one double bogey. It was fatal to make a tee shot mistake on the last 18th hole.

Ahn Byung-hoon, who played together, had six birdies, but lost one shot with two bogeys, one double bogey and one triple bogey, tied for 24th with a total of 6-under 278. After the game, Ahn Byung-hoon said "It's a disappointing result. The shot was not very good, and the result of the mistake was this good as possible."

The gold medal was won by Scottie Scheffler of the United States. Scheffler made nine birdies alone without a bogey in the final round for a 9-under 62. Scheffler, who had a 19-under 265 total, beat Tommy Flintwood of the United Kingdom by one stroke to win the championship.
Scheffler won the Masters in 2022 and this year, as well as the Olympic gold medal, making sure he is the strongest in name and reality. Flintwood won silver with an 18-under 266 and Japan's Hideki Matsuyama grabbed six birdies without a bogey and won bronze with a 17-under 267.
Korea is aiming for a medal in women's golf, which starts on the 7th. In Korea, Yang Hee-young, Ko Jin-young and Kim Hyo-joo will compete in the women's game of this tournament.
