Sixteen players participated in this competition. Divide into four groups and select eight first and second place players in each group through the group stage, and then select the medalists through the tournament. After a one-on-one dance battle, the player with more votes from nine judges wins. In the group stage, if the scores of the two rounds are the same as 1-1, the total number of votes obtained in the two rounds will determine victory or defeat. From the quarterfinals, they will play three rounds. There are five major scoring criteria: technicality, diversity, originality, performance, and musicality.

Kim Hong-yeol, who was born in 1984, aimed for the first champion in this competition. He won the Red Bull BC1 Final twice (2006, 2013), considered the highest authority international competition.
