The finals of the 'Overwatch Champions Series Korea Stage 2' will open at 5 p.m. on the 9th at the WDG Esports Studio in Chungmuro, Seoul, where Korea will compete for the strongest team.

A total of eight teams will compete in the OWCS Korea Stage 2 finals. Four teams, Crazy Raccoon, Team Falcons, Zeta Division, and Fnatic, which had top performances in the last OWCS Korea Stage 1, will participate as seed teams, while four teams, including the Pirates, VEC Daejeon, Poker Face, and Old Ocean, will pass the online qualifying round that has been held since July 25 and compete in the finals.

In Stage 2, all the players who showed their best skills in Stage 1, including Lee Jae-won and Chae Hee-sang of Crazy Raccoon, Kim Dong-hyun of Team Falcons, Oh Se-jin of Zeta Division, and Kim Min-sung of Fnatic, will participate again, and famous players such as Ryu Je-hong of Old Ocean, Kim Tae-sung of Pirates, Choi Se-hwan of Poker Face, and Seo Min-seo of VEC Daejeon will pass the preliminary round and challenge for the finals, raising high expectations.

In the opening match, the first match of the finals, Zeta Division and Fnatic, who finished third and fourth in the last Stage 1, will try to win the first Stage 2 with new power and team names. The second game that follows is a match between Old Ocean and VEC Daejeon, where Ryu Je-hong, who represents the Overwatch 1 generation professional gamer, returns as a player and is interested in how he will perform in harmony with the young players of Old Ocean. In the final game of the opening game, the poker pace, which passed the online qualifying round with overwhelming skills, and the world champion Crazy Raccoon, who is on a roll with dominating the 2024 OWCS Dallas Major, will face off.

The finals will be held in a round robin manner for three weeks every Friday to Sunday from the 9th, and the entire match lineup can be found on the official Overwatch Esports Asia X (formerly Twitter) post. Depending on the results of the finals, the top four teams will go straight to the playoffs, and the bottom four teams will go through the play-in stage and a total of two teams will advance to the playoffs. The final ranking will be decided from 1st to 4th in the next round of play-offs, and the final 1st to 3rd teams will qualify for the Overwatch Champions Series Asia (OWCS Asia) finals, and the 4th team will advance to the OWCS Asia wild card match.

Tickets for on-site viewing of OWCS Korea Stage 2 will be sold every Thursday at 6 p.m. on TicketLink. WDG, the organizer of the competition, distributes 30% of ticket sales revenue to participating teams. Tickets for Week 1, which opened last week, sold out within 30 minutes of the ticket sales, proving high interest and enthusiasm for the tournament. All matches will be broadcast live simultaneously through major Internet broadcasting platforms such as YouTube, Africa TV, Zizik and Twitch. A total of four casters, Kim Jung-min, Shim Ji-soo, Ahn Seung-yong and Hwang Kyu-hyung, and three commentators, Jang Ji-soo, Hong Hyun-sung and Moon Chang-sik, will participate in the Korean broadcast. English and Japanese broadcasts will also be produced and broadcasted for overseas viewers.
