The 2024 Paris Paralympics 'Medal Hunt' continued for the second day. This time, she collected two bronze medals in the women's doubles (WD10 grade).

The Korean table tennis team, led by head coach Cho Jae-kwan, advanced to the semifinals of the Women's Doubles (WD10) held at Sud Pariahrena 4 in Paris, France on the afternoon of the 31st (Korea time), advancing both Jung Young-ah (45, Seoul Metropolitan Government), Moon Sung-hye (46, Seongnam City Hall), and Kang Oe-jeong (58, Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council for the Disabled) and Lee Mi-kyu (36, Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Council for the Disabled).

Unfortunately, however, neither team passed the semifinal threshold. Paralympic table tennis awards bronze medals to both teams that failed to reach the final. Second-seeded Jung Young-ah and Moon Sung-hye met China's Ku Xiaodan-Panjamin (fourth seed) group, but within 25 minutes they were completely defeated by a set score of 0-3 (7-116-118-11).

Moon Sung-hye and Jung Young-ah of the Korean table tennis team are expressing their feelings of regret after losing to China and winning a bronze medal in the women's doubles (WD10) semifinals at the 2024 Paris Paralympics held at Sudpari Arena 4 in Paris, France on the afternoon of the 31st (Korea time). Presented by the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled
Jung Young-ah and Moon Sung-hye are strong players who have competed in the Paralympics several times and won medals. Jung Young-ah has four Paralympic bronze medals, finishing third in the singles at the 2012 London Paralympics, singles and group events at the 2016 Rio Games and singles at the 2020 Tokyo Games. Moon Sung-hye also won a bronze medal in singles and team at the 2012 London Paralympics after winning a bronze medal in singles and team at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.

It was a pity for the two that the medal color was always 'Donglight'. In Paris, he came out determined to change the color of the medal to gold and silver. However, he had to stop in front of his goal achievement.

It was a regrettable game. Jung Young-ah and Moon Sung-hye had a 7-7 balance with China by the middle of the first set. But in an instant, the counterweight collapsed. Mistakes continued and China lost the first set by giving up four consecutive points. China's attack hit the net and fell in front of it, making it an unfavorable situation for South Korea. In the second set, they also lost by allowing four consecutive runs in a 6-7 match. The tightly played game is sharply tilted to one side even with a small mistake. Unfortunately, Jung Young-ah and Moon Sung-hye-jo were scapegoats.

Jung Young-ah and Moon Sung-hyejo, who unfortunately lost the first and second sets, actively attacked from the beginning in the third set and led 7-3. If you make up one set, you can try to turn the tables again. But this also did not go its way. The concentration shook sharply and a return miss came out. As if to seize the opportunity, China came out on a strong march. In the end, while Jung Young-ah and Moon Sung-hyejo scored one point, China scored as many as eight points. Jung Young-ah and Moon Sung-hye's challenge ended in vain like this.

After the game, Jung Young-ah said "The plan didn't go well. I wanted to do better, but I'm sad"Wept. Moon Sung-hye said "The opponent was too strong. All the players want to do well in the game. But mistakes can happen"I healed Jung Young-ah, who was a year younger than me crying. "I think I've worked hard enough without a won," he said calmly. Although they failed to make it to the final, they won the bronze medal. This is the result of doing one's best. If the bronze medal is raised high, it will shine brilliantly.

Kang Oe-jung and Lee Mi-kyu of the Korean table tennis team are interviewing with a smile after losing the women's doubles (WD10) semifinal match against Serbia at the 2024 Paris Paralympics at Sudpari Arena 4 in Paris, France on the afternoon of the 31st (Korea time). They won the bronze medal. Presented by the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled
Kang Oe-jung (58, Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council for the Disabled) and Lee Mi-kyu (36, Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Council for the Disabled), who were held at the same time at the other table, also hesitated to sit in front of the final crisis. He won the bronze medal when he met Martic Nada and Perik Lankovic Borislava (Serbia) and lost the set score 1-3 (8-11 11-4 3-119-11).

Kang Oe-jung, the oldest member of the table tennis team, shouted out loud whenever she scored!cried " Age is just a true number. Kang Oe-jeong's voice, who is about to turn 60, rang the stadium like a young man in his 20s.

However, Kang's fighting spirit did not change the outcome. In several chances to turn around, they hesitated to deal with each other's batting and lost points. Kang Oe-jeong "Overall, it was a game that didn't go the way you wanted it to. There's a hole in the middle"I'm so sorry that I played so badly." Lee Mi-gyu also "The center was drilled, but it was the result of too much concession from each other. I think it's because we're so compatible with each other. "I'm sorry for the results of the doubles, but I'll cheer up again in fasting" he said. The table tennis team's 's sisters' did not cry. They quickly shook off their disappointment and happily accepted their bronze medal performance.

As a result, Korean table tennis has harvested four medals (Eun 1 and Dong 3) so far in the early stage of the competition 'Double Match'. Seo Soo-yeon (38, Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall) and Yoon Ji-yu (24, Seongnam City Hall) won silver medals in the women's doubles (WD5), while Cha Soo-yong (44, Daegu Metropolitan City Hall) and Park Jin-cheol (42, Gwangju Metropolitan City Hall) won bronze medals in the men's doubles (MD4).

There is still a `Double Group Medal Challenge' left. In the men's doubles (MD4) final at midnight on the 1st, Korea's 'Hidden Card' Jang Young-jin (31, Seoul Metropolitan Government) and Park Sung-joo (45, Toyota Korea) will challenge Peter Robas-Yan Riapos (Slovak) to win their first gold medal. It's a 'revenge blood battle'. The Slovak team knocked down South Korea's Cha Soo-yong and Park Jin-cheol in the semifinals earlier. Attention is focusing on whether Jang Young-jin and Park Sung-joo will win a glorious gold medal by taking revenge on their colleagues.
