Mikey Moore, who was born in 2007 and is 17 years old, has been nailed to no lease. The Sun of England reported on the 14th (local time) that Tottenham rejected prospect Moore's loan offer despite the interest of many clubs.
Tottenham signed a professional contract with Moore on the 12th. He made a connection with Tottenham when he was seven years old. Moore, a talent discovered by Tottenham, succeeded in signing a first-team contract in eight years and took his first step as a professional player.
I got the best treatment I could get for my age. According to FIFA regulations, the maximum contract period is limited to three years for players under the age of 18. Moore has also reportedly been offered a financial package that reflects his status as one of the best players to come out of Tottenham's academy recently.
'The Sun' is considered one of the most interesting talents produced by the club academy. Postecoglou said Moore is too young to want to keep him this season. 'At this stage of development, I think it would be better for him to stay the same, learn from professionals and increase his playing time here and there this season. This logic is similar to how Pep Guardiola dealt with Foden's early days.
Moore made his first-team debut on May 15 in the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) match against Manchester City. It was a surprise appearance at the age of 16 years and 277 days. Tottenham's record of being the youngest first team player in history has also been newly set. In addition, he played as a substitute in the final match against Sheffield United on May 20.
Moore also received love calls from Manchester City and Real Madrid. Tottenham evolved their rival teams' interest with a professional contract a day after Moore's 17th birthday.
Postecoglou said "It's amazing that Moore is now 17 years old. We brought him to the first team environment late last year. Every time he played under 18 and under 21, he impressed"Moore is a very young player, but he adapted to the first team really quickly. He's done really well in pre-season as well in games and training. It is good for Tottenham that he is already showing great promise after going through our academy."
And "He's still young. Our role is to provide the best possible environment for him to become a top footballer. Postecoglou received a 'Jorong' that he imitated Guardiola when he was at his best in the beginning of last season.
Moore also "It's a big step forward, but obviously all the players welcomed me. I'm just trying to prove myself. I haven't done anything yet. Like other players, I will try to establish myself as a first-team player. There is still a long way to go."
