KIA Kim Do-young, who is challenging the record of 40 home runs and 40 steals, added one home run and one stolen base, moving one step closer to joining the 40-40 club.
KIA Kim Do-young contributed to the team's victory by stealing one hit (homer) in two at-bats against Lotte at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 22nd. KIA won six consecutive games with a thrilling 6-4 come-from-behind victory over Lotte.
Kim Do-young got on base with a walk in his second at-bat in the fourth inning and stole second base. It seemed to be caught by Lotte starter Barnes, but he ran toward second base while the ball was thrown to first base and succeeded in stealing his 35th base of the season by touching the base first at second base.
In the third at-bat in the sixth inning, he hit a solo home run over the superior fence after a persistent game going up to six pitches against Lotte Barnes. The home run range was 115 meters. Withstanding the falling breaking ball, he hit a 130-km changeup on six pitches to make a home run.
Barnes, who allowed a home run to Kim Do-young in the sixth inning, gave up a hit to Na Sung-bum after one out and was pulled out. Kim Do-young, who hit a solo home run chasing 4-3, recorded his 32nd home run of the season.

It's certainly not an easy milestone.
As we get closer to the 40-homer milestone, the opposing pitchers' checks will get worse, and we will lack physical strength at the end of the season. However, it is a milestone that cannot be given up.
Kim Do-young achieved his first monthly 10 home runs and 10 steals in the KBO league this season. He also recorded a natural cycling hit at least at bat.

26 remaining games. Home run -8, steal -5.
Joining the 40-40 club is certainly not easy, but it is not an impossible figure. Kim Do-young has three home runs in the last six games. It continues to hope for the milestone that fans want.
