The Dodgers suffered a come-from-behind loss of 4-6 in an away game against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field on the 16th (Korea time).
The Dodgers gave up the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with a 4-3 lead, with fourth pitcher Daniel Hudson giving up three hits and one walk, allowing three runs. Hudson, who had a double by leading Jackson Churio, walked Mitchell and allowed an infield hit to William Contreras, allowed a tie after a left-handed hit by Willy Adames, and allowed two more runs while dealing with the next two batters with infield hits.
Dodgers starter Jack Fleherty was replaced in a 4-3 lead after pitching hard with four hits and three runs in five innings, but missed the start due to bullpen difficulties. Fleherty has won two games and a 3.78 ERA in three games since moving to the Dodgers.
On this day, Shohei Ohtani was sluggish with one hit in five at-bats.
Ohtani, who played as a designated hitter for the leadoff, hit a fly ball to left field in his first at-bat, a ground ball to the first base in his second at-bat in the top of the third inning, and a leadoff hit in the fifth inning when he faced 3-3, but failed to reach home due to a failure of a follow-up hit. He then bowed his head with a line drive to center field in the sixth inning and a strikeout to swing and miss in the ninth inning.

He still ranks first in home runs, runs, slugging percentage (0.613), and OPS, but his momentum has weakened significantly. Ohtani has a batting average of 0.179 (10 hits in 56 at-bats) and an OPS of 730 in 13 games since August. At this rate, he could give up his No. 1 position in the OPS. Ohtani, who is aiming for the NL's best player position, may be reversed in the MVP competition at the end of the season.
The team is in crisis, too. The Dodgers, who have lost two consecutive games and finished the three away games with one win and two losses, are in danger again in the NL West with 71 wins and 51 losses. This is because the gap between the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks (69 wins and 53 losses), who were tied for second place in the Western District, which did not have a game on the day, has narrowed to two games.
The Dodgers' probability of winning the district, calculated by FanGraphs, was 61.0%, down 33.2% from 94.2% on the 23rd of last month, just after the start of the second half. On the other hand, San Diego and Arizona's odds of winning the district were 19.7% and 14.6%, respectively, up from 3.2% and 2.2%, respectively.
However, it should be noted that all three teams have more than 90% chance of advancing to the playoffs. Dodgers accounted for 99.7 percent, San Diego 95.4 percent, and Arizona 93.7 percent. In other words, unless something unexpected happens, all three teams will easily advance to the fall baseball league together. It will be the first time in the history of three teams advancing to the playoffs in the NL West.
After the regular season, the remaining NL playoff teams are the Philadelphia Phillies (98.7%) in the east, the Atlanta Braves (80.8%) in the Atlanta Braves (80.8%) and the Milwaukee Brewers (95.9%) in the middle.
