The sixth round of the "2024 O-NE Super Race Championship" will be held at the Inje Speedium in Inje-gun, Gangwon-do, on the 24th as the last night race of this season.
In order to avoid the hot summer weather, the concept of the summer season was first introduced this season, with all of the schedules from June to August being night races. In the first night race (fourth round), 9410 visitors visited the circuit despite bad weather, and in the second competition (five rounds), 31,558 visitors entered, renewing the single-standard number of spectators.
Super Race said in its visitor data that the purchase rate for 25 to 34-year-olds is up about 10% from the previous round, appealing to the younger generation. With many fans watching, Kim Joong-gun (Seohan GP), who won the last five rounds, said "It's everyone's dream to win in front of a large number of visitors. Standing in front of many fans in the Super Race reminded me once again that it's a professional sport, and I wanted to reach the top of the podium in this situation, but I'm glad I made it."
GP coach Park Jong-im, who has won five consecutive games this season, said "The summer season seems to have firmly established itself in terms of 'guide mobilization." It is true that the summer season is burdensome for the team, but it is not difficult to race in the presence of many fans.
Like a night race, there were various variables. In the final round of the fourth round, Jang Hyun-jin (Seohan GP), who started seventh, won the championship even with a handicap weight of 100kg, and in the fifth round, Kim Joong-gun popped the championship champagne for the first time in five years. In addition, in the GT class, Jung Kyung-hoon (Beat R&D) and Jung Won-ho (Igo Racing) were formed. Through this round, which enters the second half of the year, each driver will speed up further toward the champion.
Brand promotion centers, which are crowded with various things to enjoy, also gained popularity. In the last round, 14 partners, including Nexen Tire, Michelin, and Potato Island, set up a promotional booth at the Super Race Stadium to meet numerous visitors. Toyota Korea, Deutsche Motors, and CGV will also decorate the brand promotion center in the sixth round.
Tickets for the 6th round of Super Race are being pre-booked through Naver reservation. Ticket buyers can also receive discounts on Inje Speedium facilities (leisure carts, classic car museums, saunas, restaurants, etc.). The opening hours of the grandstand are from 3 p.m. on the 24th.
