Sports Promotion Corporation holds '2024 VR Olympics Super League' to expand the scale of online and offline competitions, and receives applications by September 11th
The Seoul Olympic Memorial National Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) announced that it will hold the '2024 VR Olympics Super League', a virtual reality sports network competition for elementary school students nationwide with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Since 2016, the Korea Sports Corporation has promoted a project to distribute Virtual Reality Sports Room to elementary schools nationwide to ensure safe sports activities regardless of the weather and to enhance students' interest and understanding of cutting-edge technologies in the sports industry, including virtual reality (VR).

Unlike the previous competition, which was held only as an online tournament, this '2024 VR Olympics Super League' has expanded the size of the competition, including expanding participation targets and holding a mix of online and offline events. The final competition, which will be held offline (Olympic Hall), will be broadcast live on YouTube to provide a vivid sense of reality.

All participating schools and institutions will be provided with snack gifts and teaching aids for each event. In particular, the 12 teams that advance to the finals through online ranking matches and tournaments will be given the opportunity to visit Olympic Park facilities, including accommodation at the Seoul Olympic Parktel and Seoul Olympic Legacy Tour, while the winning organizations will be awarded the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and the Chairman of the Sports Corporation Award.

The competition events will be divided by grade (boom boom baseball in the 1st and 2nd grades, ultimate running in the 3rd and 4th grades, basketball party in the 5th and 6th grades), and elementary schools and institutions (public sports facilities for youth) using virtual reality sports rooms and integrated platforms can participate.

The corporation said "You can apply through QR code access from the 26th to the 11th of next month, and more details can be found through the virtual reality sports office website and inquiries from the department in charge."
