Doosan Bears' domestic ace Kwak Bin was replaced in the fifth inning ahead of the winning pitcher in a four-point lead.

Kwak Bin started the home game against the LG Twins at Jamsil Stadium on the 6th and allowed four hits, six walks, six strikeouts and four runs (three earned) in four ⅓ innings.

It was a highly anticipated game because it was a domestic ace match between Doosan's Kwak Bin and LG's Son Joo-young.

Kwak Bin had a 10-7 record with a 3.75 ERA, and Son Joo-young had an 8-5 record with a 3.36 ERA.

However, neither of them even made it to the fifth inning. Son Joo-young left the mound first with seven hits and seven runs (6 earned runs) in three innings.

Kwak Bin was also not in very good condition that day. The ball looked good, but it didn't work out.

In the top of the second inning, he gave up a walk to the leadoff Oh Ji-hwan, and he was on the verge of a one-out second base due to a wild pitch, and gave up the first run by Park Dong-won with a double to the left. He struck out Park Hae-min, but allowed another walk to Koo Bon-hyuk, facing a crisis of two outs and runners on first and second bases. When the one-bound ball bounced sideways off Yang Eui-ji's block in Hong Chang-ki's at-bat, the runners on the first and second bases ran, and Yang Eui-ji threw it to third base, and Park Dong-won was tagged out and managed to overcome the crisis. The first half of the third inning was the only three-way strikeout.

Kwak Bin, who allowed consecutive walks to Kim Hyun-soo and Park Dong-won after one out after receiving a hit from Moon Bo-kyung in the top of the fourth inning with a 5-1 lead, gave up one run after being hit to the right by Park Hae-min.

Still, he escaped the crisis by striking out Koo Bon-hyuk and Hong Chang-ki with consecutive swings and misses.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Doosan added two more runs to give a strong lead of five points to 7-2, and Kwak Bin only had to save one more inning for his 11th win. Throwing 91 pitches until the fourth inning, the number of pitches was important.

However, he gave up a straight walk to lead Shin Min-jae and started on his own. Austin was caught on a fly to second base, but Moon Bo-kyung allowed a double to left-center to give up one run. It was a four-run lead of 7-3, but the pitcher's replacement was eventually decided as the number of pitches reached 104.

Lee Byung-hun allowed Oh Ji-hwan to hit right, and Moon Bo-kyung homered, increasing Kwak Bin's run to four points (three earned runs).

On this day, Kwak Bin sprayed 58 fastballs, 18 curves, 17 sliders, and 11 changeups with a maximum of 154km and an average of 149km. His fastball pitching was good, but he had to throw hard with 35 strikes and 23 balls out of 58.

Kwak's ERA increased to 3.84.
