Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop met with reporters ahead of the home game against the Kiwoom Heroes in Jamsil on the 2nd and said, "Brandon is scheduled to pitch his first bullpen tomorrow (3rd)."It's going to be a light bullpen pitching."
Brandon, who was briefly out due to back pain at the beginning of the season, was diagnosed with a left sub-scapular injury on June 25 and has been undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.
Doosan decided to find an alternative foreign player while Brandon was unable to throw, and Keisho Shirakawa, who threw as an alternative pitcher for SSG Landers while calling Eric Jokish, who had separated from Kiwoom due to injury last year, was also included in the candidate group and weighed the two. Doosan eventually threw in the KBO League this year and chose Shirakawa, who has a work visa.
Shirakawa is 1-1 with a 6.61 ERA in four appearances.
As Shirakawa's pitching is worse than expected, it is the best for Doosan that Brandon returns quickly.

Brandon went 5-3 with a 3.60 ERA in 11 games as a substitute in 2022, but failed to re-sign. However, he came back as a substitute in the middle of last season and succeeded in renewing his contract by showing an outstanding performance of 11 wins and 3 losses with a 2.49 ERA in 18 games.
Although he is disappointed with his injuries this season, he has pitched 7-4 with a 3.12 ERA in 14 games.
Doosan is in fourth place with 54 wins, two draws and 50 losses, sweeping three consecutive games in Gwangju against the No. 1 KIA Tigers. It is a half-game gap with Samsung in third place and one game gap with SSG Landers in fifth place.
Manager Lee said, `Our team continues to be at a critical juncture. Brandon is missing, and Choi Ji-gang and Lee Young-ha are also missing, so I think every game is a crisis. I can't relax even a single game."
Doosan made up the starting lineup with Jung Soo-bin (center fielder), Huh Kyung-min (third baseman), Jarrod (right fielder), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Kim Jae-hwan (designated hitter), Kang Seung-ho (second baseman), Kim Ki-yeon (fosu), Jeon Min-jae (striker) and Cho Soo-haeng (left fielder).
