British media Telegraph' predicted Tottenham's season very positively.

Telegraph reported on the 16th (Korea Standard Time) 'Enze Postecoglou's Tottenham project has taken a step further through strong recruitment and smart strategy.

Telegraph added that Postecoglou, who has signed Dominic Solanke as his new centre-forward, is looking for trophies this season.

It is only when the lid is opened that Tottenham's power will be able to rise vertically with Solanke's recruitment.

Tottenham signed Timo Werner, Archie Gray, Lucas Beribal and Solanke through this summer's transfer window. Yang Min-hyuk, known as Son Heung-min's successor, has also been recruited, but he will join in January next year.

Werner has already played on loan since January. It is preservation, not strengthening power, because it is an extension of the contract. Gray and Veribal are still teenagers. Premier League adaptation and verification are needed.

In fact, one factor to be seen as 'plus' is Solanke. Solanke is a typical No. 9 goalscorer who scored 19 for the underdog AFC Bournemouth last season.

Telegraph said 'Tottenham began behind the scenes to recruit Solanke in June. The contract was not smooth, but the willingness to sign Solanke was clear.'

Telegraph said 'Postecoglou, who needed a goal scorer immediately, delivered three conditions to the club. He said he wanted a player who could play 40 to 45 games and fit his tactics because he had experience in the Premier League and played in the Europa League.

Telegraph says 'It was Solanke who met all the conditions. Tottenham have undoubtedly agreed to a 65 million pound (W113 billion) deal, he added.

Telegraph expected that `Postecoglou will be determined to win every tournament he competes this season, whether the outsiders think it is realistic or not.'

In fact, Tottenham manager Postecoglou has a pleasant jinx that he always won in his second year.

Postecoglou was appointed as Brisbane manager of the Australian A - League during the 2009-2010 season. Finished the season for the second time in last place. Postecoglou, who changed the squad extensively in the second year, led Brisbane to the A-League title in the 2010-2011 season. Brisbane achieved its second consecutive A-League feat.

Based on this, Postecoglou was selected as Australia A national team coach in October 2013. The 2014 World Cup in Brazil was eliminated by three losses, but in January 2015, it gave Australia a win at the Asian Cup in its own country. The Athletic said 'Australia has lost three World Cups but has shown signs of progress. Seven of the 23 players included in the World Cup were eliminated from the Asian Cup squad just six months later.

Postecoglou took the helm of Yokohama in the 2018 J League. It ranked 12th out of 18 teams in its first season. Postecoglou put Yokohama at the top of the J-League again in 2019. Yokohama lifted the trophy for the first time in 15 years.

In 2021, he became head coach of Celtic in Scotland. At Celtic, he won two consecutive games in his first year and the following year before signing with Tottenham to enter the Premier League.

However, Tottenham, ranked fifth in the Premier League last season, is not easy to win. The League Cup or FA Cup is a realistic goal. Tottenham has been without a trophy for 16 years since winning the 2008 League Cup.

Solanke is obviously a good striker, but one is not enough.
