Merelin Nicolova (Bulgaria, registered name Nicolova), a foreign player of the Korea Expressway Corporation High Pass, arrived at Incheon International Airport on the afternoon of the 1st.

Nikolova (21, 1m83) was nominated by the Korea Expressway Corporation as the third-ranked player in the 2024 KOVO Women's Foreign Player Tryout held on May 9.

Nicolova, who played for Turkiye's first division team Sarrijer Velidyez last season, is a left-handed apogit spiker with strong spike serve and fast attack.

In particular, Nikolova participated in the 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) as a member of the Bulgarian volleyball team and scored 30 points (two servings), the most by both teams, in the face-off between South Korea and Bulgaria, leading the team to victory.

Nicolova said "When I played VNL in May, I had an eye on Kang So-hwi, and I heard he was on the same team, so I was looking forward to it. We met and said hello and took pictures together"I will work with good players and try to get the team to a higher place" he vowed.

Nicolova will immediately go down to Gimcheon and join the team to work together and participate in the 2024 Vietnam VTV Cup, where the Korea Expressway Corporation is set to participate.
