'Warm Stone Buddha' Oh Seung-hwan (42, Samsung Lions) delivered a total of 20 million won for the development of the Korean team participating in the Paris Paralympics and the Korea Tennis Association for the Disabled.
Oh Seung-hwan, who has been a public relations ambassador for the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled for nine years since 2016, is a strong supporter of disabled sports, which has continued to provide support for wheelchair tennis and basic sports.
Starting with sponsoring 10 million won to wheelchair tennis prospect Lim Ho-won in 2016, Oh Seung-hwan has provided 10 million won to Lim Ho-won and 'Nordic Ski Ironman' Shin Eui-hyun (Gold medalist at the Pyeongchang Paralympics) in 2018, and has so far provided a total of 70 million won and 24 million won worth of sponsorship items for disabled sports, including sponsorship of baseball player-turned wheelchair tennis player Kim Myung-je in 2019 and sponsorship for fostering basic sports in 2019-2022. The Korean Sports Association for the Disabled said "Since it is in the middle of the professional baseball season, the donation delivery event will be arranged after the end of the season."
Oh said to the national team that will take the lead in the run-up to the Paris Paralympic Games, `I am pleased to be able to keep my promise to support sports for the disabled again this time. I will cheer hard so that Korean athletes can fully perform everything they have prepared at the Paris Paralympics."
