In an away game against LG held in Jamsil on the 1st, Samsung won 7-0 with a batting lineup that continued to beat LG's mound and hit 15 hits amid Baek Jung-hyun's perfect pitching in six ⅔ innings. Samsung, which took three consecutive games this week to a winning series with two wins and one loss, narrowed the gap with second-place LG to two games.
LG made a lineup that scored 11 points with all the starters hitting the previous day. Hong Chang-ki (right wing), Shin Min-jae (second baseman), Austin (designated hitter), Moon Bo-kyung (third baseman), Kim Hyun-soo (left wing), Oh Ji-hwan (striker), Park Dong-won (catcher), Park Hae-min (center fielder), and Kim Bum-seok (first baseman). Manager Yeom Kyung-yeop called veteran catcher Heo Do-hwan in August, calling for an all-out war.
Samsung called up Park Byung-ho, who was out due to a thigh injury. However, he did not start immediately. Kim Ji-chan (center fielder), Yoon Jung-bin (right wing), Lee Jae-hyun (striker), Kang Min-ho (catcher), Kim Young-woong (third baseman), Kim Heon-gon (designated hitter), Lee Sung-kyu (first baseman), Ryu Ji-hyuk (second baseman), and Kim Hyun-jun (left wing) are in the starting lineup, and Park Byung-ho is ready as a pinch hitter in the second half of the game.
The first day was a match between a foreign ace and a left hand 'Killer' the day before, while the third day was a match between a veteran. Lim Chan-kyu (32) of LG and Baek Jung-hyun (37) of Samsung started.

Baek Jung-hyun pitched three times against LG last year, recorded three wins, no losses, and an ERA of 0.92 and played as a 'LG Killer' this year. He also pitched in Jamsil on March 26 and allowed five hits and five walks in five ⅔ innings, but allowed only two runs.
Samsung took the lead in the top of the first inning. Samsung, which made the first and third bases with no outs with consecutive hits by Kim Ji-chan and Yoon Jung-bin, struck out Lee Jae-hyun, but Kang Min-ho hit a heavy hit to score the first run. Kim Young-woong's ground ball in front of the first base forced the first baseman out from the second base to become the first and third base with two outs, and Kim Heon-gon scored one more point with a right-handed hit, 2-0. Lee Sung-kyu walked and had a chance to score a large amount of runs with two outs, but Ryu Ji-hyuk struck out and it ended unfortunately.
Since then, Samsung has continued to create chances and score additional points, but no shot came out.
There were chances every inning, with one out and runners on first and second in the top of the second inning, one out and runners on second in the top of the third inning, one out and runners on first and second in the top of the fourth inning, no outs and runners on first base in the top of the fifth inning, and one out in the top of the sixth inning. However, the expected hit did not come out and a 2-0 lead continued.
If Samsung doesn't run away like this, LG should chase it, but LG couldn't either. This is because Baek Jung-hyun tied LG tightly.

After that, the offensive base became a sad out and the offense was cut off. After two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning, Oh Ji-hwan recorded an infield hit in front of the second base following Kim Hyun-soo's double to the right-center, when Kim Hyun-soo was tagged out while digging home. At the end of the second and fifth innings, Park Hae-min tried to steal second base after two outs, but both times he was tagged out by Kang Min-ho's throw.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Hong Chang-ki hit a right-handed hit to get a chance again, but Shin Min-jae's infield grounder quickly ended with Austin's double play.
The flow could have changed depending on which team drew the score, but Samsung finally scored an additional point in the top of the seventh inning and virtually decided the game. Kim Hun-gon and Lee Sung-kyu created chances for one out and first and second bases with walks and hit-by-one balls, and pinch hitter Park Byung-ho drew a left-handed hit from Kim Yoo-young to lead to the bases loaded. And Kim Hyun-joon, who was announced to pass the management on the same day, pushed tremendously to create a two-run left-handed hit. Making it 4-0, it definitely brought the atmosphere to Samsung that almost went over LG.

Baek Jung-hyun recorded his third win of the season with seven hits, two walks, and two strikeouts in six ⅔ innings. Lim Chan-kyu threw 107 pitches in five ⅓ innings, allowing nine hits, five walks, seven strikeouts, and two runs. He lost at least a point after overcoming numerous crises, but he became a losing pitcher because he was not helped by the batters.
Samsung added one more run in the top of the eighth inning with Kim Hun-gon's ground ball in front of the pitcher with one out and runners on the first and third bases made by hits by Lee Jae-hyun and Jeon Byung-woo. He also scored an additional point on the chance he got from his opponent's error. At this time, the chance continued as first baseman Moon Bo-kyung failed to catch Kim Young-joon's throw to first base properly, making it 1st and 2nd base with 1 out, and Lee Sung-kyu's ground ball made it 2nd and 3rd base with 2 more runners coming in due to Ahn Ju-hyung's heavy hit.
Samsung's No. 9 Kim Hyun-joon hit hard with four hits and two RBIs. Kim Hyun-joon, who will join Sangmu after this season, seemed to have a different attitude toward the rest of the season, and immediately showed his determination with four hits.
LG's head coach Yeom revealed his all-out fight in August, but from the first day, the lineup failed to attack Baek Jung-hyun, and in the second half of the game, he was completely defeated with a disappointing appearance in defense.
