The Samsung Lions won by exploding firepower without foreign hitters.

Samsung won the home game against the Hanwha Eagles 10-6 at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu on the 7th. Samsung had its 57th win (two draws and 49 losses) of the season. Hanwha had 46 wins, two draws and 55 losses in its season-high record.

Samsung formed the starting lineup in the order of Kim Hyun-joon (center fielder), Kim Heon-gon (right wing), Koo Ja-wook (left wing), Kang Min-ho (possession), Kim Young-woong (third baseman), Lee Sung-kyu (first baseman), Park Byung-ho (designated hitter), Lee Jae-hyun (striker), and Ahn Joo-hyung (second baseman).

Hanwha made the starting lineup in the order of Jonathan Ferraza (designated hitter), Kim In-hwan (left fielder), Kim Tae-yeon (right fielder), Noh Si-hwan (third baseman), Chae Eun-sung (first baseman), An Chi-hong (second baseman), Lee Do-yoon (striker), Choi Jae-hoon (catcher), and Lee Won-seok (middle fielder). Foreign player Ruben Kadenas was excluded from the first-team entry, forming the lineup only with domestic players.

Hanwha succeeded in gaining the upper hand in the top of the first inning. Leading hitter Peraza got on base with infield hits, and Kim In-hwan and Kim Tae-yeon scored the first run with consecutive hits. Chae Eun-sung and An Chi-hong then made it 3-0 with consecutive hits. Samsung broke its silence in the bottom of the fourth inning. After leadoff hitter Koo Ja-wook hit a double, Kang Min-ho's walk followed. Two batters later withdrew, but Park Byung-ho's timely hit made up one point.

Samsung made a big inning in the bottom of the fifth inning. After one out, Kim Hyun-joon's double, Kim Heon-gon's infield hit, and Koo Ja-wook's timely hit followed. Later, Kang Min-ho's two-run double followed by Kim Young-woong's two-run home run.

Samsung, in the mood, turned the game around 7-6 with Lee Sung-kyu's double and Lee Jae-hyun's timely hit.

Samsung recovered a point with a double by Kang Min-ho and Lee Sung-kyu in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Lee Jae-hyun's left-handed hit widened the score to 9-6. Samsung completed a double-digit score in the bottom of the eighth inning with Kim Hyun-joon's double, Yoon Jung-bin's true hit, and Koo Ja-wook's sacrifice fly.

On this day, Hanwha starter Ryu Hyun-jin recorded a personal record of 12 hits in two consecutive games. He became a losing pitcher by allowing seven runs in five innings. Park Jung-hyun struggled with six runs in six innings, but became a winning pitcher with the help of the batters.

In addition, Kim Jae-yoon, who came out as Samsung's third pitcher, became the 21st player to record 50 consecutive games for five consecutive years.
