KBO said ahead of the game on the 17th that it will have a 10-minute break at cleaning time, except for Gocheok games, as a special measure to ensure sufficient rest time for spectators and players due to the national heat wave.
The KBO began hosting Sunday and holiday games at 2 p.m. in September. It was 5 p.m. in the hot weather, but most of the days became cool in September.
The problem is that due to the recent heat wave, heat patients began to pour into the game at 2 p.m. at the ballpark. On the 14th, about 20 people with heat illness occurred at Sajik Stadium in Busan. The two were in such a condition that they took an ambulance.
About 50 people reportedly complained of heat illness in Gwangju on the 15th.
Players playing on the ground also had to fight the heat fiercely. Won Tae-in, who started the Incheon SSG game on the 15th, threw up in vain during the game in the heat.

The grand games are Samsung Lions and Doosan Bears at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul, Lotte Giants and LG Twins at Sajik Stadium in Busan, KIA Tigers and SSG Landers at SSG Landers Field in Incheon, and Hanwha Eagles and NC Dinos at Changwon NC Park.
The game between KT Wiz and Kiwoom Heroes at Gocheok Sky Dome was excluded from the 10-minute break as it will be held at the indoor dome stadium.
