'2024 Youth Yang-gu High School First Year Soccer Festival' opens on the 3rd

The "2024 Youth Yanggu High School First-Year Soccer Festival" (hereinafter referred to as the Yanggu Festival) will be held at Yanggu Sports Complex in Gangwon-do from Oct. 3-6. The festival is operated as a competition approved by the Korea Football Association for the purpose of checking the performance of first-year high school soccer players and preparing a venue for opportunities.

Yanggu-gun, located in the center of the Republic of Korea, has established itself as a sports city. In addition to building youth soccer infrastructure, it holds annual continuous elite and amateur sports competitions for regional economic development. The Youth Yang-gu High School Festival will be operated as a competition where all participating teams will be given equal opportunities to play, and no separate grades and awards will be provided.

Lee Ju-hyung, chairman of the Yanggu County Football Association, said "We are very happy that the opportunity for first-year high school football players has been set up following the first-year middle school festival in the first half of this year in Yanggu, and we hope that this opportunity will continue to host the KFA Elite Soccer Competition in Yanggu in the future." And it is a competition that provides good memories for athletes, leaders, and parents who come to Yanggu to enjoy sports, culture, and tourism through the competition, and will support the operation of the competition with Ribbon Corporation Lab. In addition, I would like to thank the Yanggu-gun Sports Foundation for the support of Seo Heung-won, Yanggu-gun County, who strives to establish a sports mecca for Yanggu-gun," he said.

The festival will be hosted by the Yanggu-gun Football Association and Ribbon Corporation Lab, and will be jointly organized and operated by the Gangwon-do Football Association. In addition, for the successful competition, Yanggu County, Yanggu County Sports Foundation, Yanggu County Sports Council, Shinseong Delta Tech, D-Fit, Sportizer, Jangsu Ogolgye, and Jewelry Brand Juliet will sponsor the competition, and events and giveaways will be held to suit the purpose of the festival, including matching the 24K gold bar gift golden crossbar sponsored by Juliet, a jewelry brand that allows both players and visitors to participate as a special event. In addition, it operates an ESG program in which all income raised through giveaway events is donated as a scholarship to the Yanggu-gun community.
