Can the three teams be tied for the first time ever.

Three teams, Doosan Bears, KT Wiz, and SSG Landers, are fiercely competing for the fourth and fifth place.

Doosan won 8-4 at home against SSG in Jamsil on the 23rd, leading KT and SSG by two games. Doosan and KT have three games each and SSG have only five games left, so the difference in the second game seems quite large.

However, it is too early for Doosan to rest assured of fourth place. The magic number is 3 as it is. This is because if SSG wins all five games, Doosan also has to win all three games.

As of the 23rd, Doosan has to play two games against NC and one game against Lotte. KT has one game left against Lotte and two games against Kiwoom. SSG has to play two games against NC and one game against LG, Hanwha, and Lotte.

The game between the three teams is over. Doosan had a superior performance of 12 wins and 4 losses against KT, and SSG led Doosan with 9 wins and 7 losses. KT and SSG are tied at 8-8.

If the two teams become joint fourth, they will be fourth and fifth depending on their relative performance. If Doosan and SSG become joint fourth, SSG will be fourth and Doosan will be fifth, and if Doosan and KT become joint fourth, Doosan will be fourth and KT will be fifth. If KT and SSG become fourth in public, the multi-scoring team will be fourth in the showdown because they are tied at 8 wins and 8 losses. KT scored 92 points and SSG scored 87 points, making KT fourth and SSSG fifth.

If a joint fifth place occurs, a separate fifth-place match will be held regardless of the performance of the showdown.

Since there are currently three teams attached, the possibility of all three teams tying for fourth place can be considered.

In this case, the relative performances of the three teams are summed and ranked. Doosan is the best with 19 wins and 13 losses, followed by SSG with 17 wins and 15 losses. KT is the worst with 12 wins and 20 losses. In other words, if the three teams are tied for fourth place, Doosan will be fourth and SSG will be fifth, while KT will be sixth and will not be able to board autumn baseball.

With the regular league winner KIA Tigers and the second-place Samsung Lions confirmed, the third-place LG Twins are in a very advantageous situation with only 10 magic numbers left. Now, fans' eyes are focused on the fourth and fifth place fight. It is a five-way battle that has entered the fog again as SSG has risen with six consecutive wins. It is the 2024 KBO League that does not lose the topic of conversation until the end.
