Kiwoom Heroes caught the third-place LG Twins by invoking '8th inning of promise'. Kiwoom won the game against LG at Jamsil Stadium on the 11th with Song Sung-moon's final triple in the top of the eighth inning.
In the current ranking competition, the No. 1 KIA Tigers, No. 2 Samsung Lions, No. 3 LG Twins are solidifying to some extent. Kiwoom at the bottom is also virtually definitive.
But don't let your guard down. Kiwoom won its 56th win (76 losses) and won its second consecutive game. LG lost the game against Lotte in the 10th inning the previous day and lost for the second straight time. He recorded his 62nd loss (68 wins and 2 draws).
On this day, Kiwoom played in the lineup of Lee Joo-hyung (middle fielder), Kim Hye-sung (second base), Song Sung-moon (third base), Choi Joo-hwan (first base), Kim Gun-hee (captor), Won Sung-joon (designated hitter), Kim Byung-hwi (striker), Park Joo-hong (left fielder), and Jang Jae-young (right fielder). Ha Young-min came out as the starter.

LG's lineup, which was somewhat relaxed, stands out. Moon Sung-joo was registered instead of Ahn Ik-hoon, but he was excluded from the starting lineup. Austin, a foreign hitter, is also rested due to enteritis, and there are no main center fielder Park Hae-min and No. 1 infield backup Koo Bon-hyuk.
Instead, three catchers, including Park Dong-won, Kim Bum-seok and Heo Do-hwan, are outstanding. Lee Young-bin also took charge of second base.
Kiwoom opened the door by knocking on Choi Won-tae. After one out in the top of the second inning, Won Sung-joon and Kim Byung-hwi's consecutive hits made it to first and third bases with two outs, and Jang Jae-young's timely RBI left-handed hit. Lee Ju-hyung then hit a two-run double to take a 3-0 lead.

The lead was lost in an instant. LG, which had been pressed by Kiwoom Ha Young-min's good pitching, recovered one run with consecutive doubles by Hong Chang-ki and Kim Hyun-soo in the bottom of the fourth inning.
LG was replaced after two outs in the top of the sixth inning when starter Choi Won-tae caused a crisis with consecutive walks. Lim Joon-hyung overcame the crisis by treating Kiwoom Lee Ju-hyung with a ground ball to the first base.
Then, at the bottom of the sixth inning, the Hong Chang-ki and Kim Hyun-soo duo opened the door. The two players' consecutive hits made it to the first and third bases with no outs, and Moon Bo-kyung's RBI timely hit came out after one out.
Oh Ji-hwan's walk was followed by a bases-loaded walk with one out. Moon Sung-joo, who appeared as a pinch hitter here, scored one more point with an infield hit that flowed after hitting the pitcher. Ha Young-min was replaced in order to protect the player after hitting a ball on the back of his thigh in the process.

Kiwoom immediately put the game back to square one in the top of the seventh inning. Kim Tae-jin and Song Sung-moon's consecutive hits came out, and LG's No. 3 on the first and second bases with no outs? Choi Joo-hwan tapped pitcher Kim Jin-sung with a timely RBI. However, Kim Gun-hee failed to score additional points as she withdrew due to a double play.
Still, there was 'Eight of Promise'. LG put up Ham Deok-ju, a must-win group, as the fourth pitcher, but Kim Byung-hee, the leadoff batter, caused a crisis with a hit ball. Following Park Soo-jong's sacrifice bunt, Kiwoom's Jang Jae-young and Lee Ju-hyung drew a series of walks, taking an absolute chance to load the bases with one out.

Kiwoom completed the victory by blocking Kim Dong-wook at the bottom of the eighth inning and Joo Seung-woo at the bottom of the ninth inning without losing a point.
