'Olympic Weightlifting Legend' Second Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Jang Mi-ran will visit the Paris Paralympics following the Paris Olympics.

Following his participation as a government representative in the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics last month, Vice Minister Jang visited the site of the '2024 Paris Paralympics' from the 6th to the 10th to attend the closing ceremony on behalf of the government and support the great journey of the Korean team until the end.

Vice Minister Jang will arrive in Paris, France on the evening of the 6th to visit the game site and the athletes' village. On the 7th, we will cheer for the 50-meter backstroke event, the last event of Jo Gi-seong, and encourage the athletes and officials who finished the game by visiting the athletes' village and the meal support center. He will also attend the 'Team Night' event and communicate with national team players, leaders, and field reporters.

On the morning of the 8th, he will visit the weightlifting stadium to support Yang Jae-won, who will compete in the women's 86kg class. In the afternoon, he will meet with a Korean press corps to thank the people for their hard work in conveying the emotion of the Paralympics, and attend the closing ceremony of the '2024 Paris Paralympics' as a government representative. We also celebrate the conclusion of the great journey by joining the ceremony of the South Korean team returning home to Incheon International Airport on the 10th.
