Choi Soon-ho, head of Suwon FC, expressed his unwavering faith in Son Joon-ho 'midfielder'. It came shortly after the Chinese Football Association decided on the 10th that Son Jun-ho would be banned from soccer activities in China for life, `permanent expulsion`.
The Chinese Football Association said on the same day that `According to facts recognized by law enforcement agencies, former Shandong Taishan player Son Jun-ho participated in unjustified transactions to promote unjust interests, manipulated soccer matches, and made illegal profits," he said, announcing a permanent expulsion.
Son Jun-ho, a former national midfielder, was detained for 10 months by Chinese police in May last year when he played for Shandong Taishan in the Chinese professional league, and was released in March, and joined K League 1 Suwon FC in June and has been active in leading Suwon's midfield.
Choi Soon-ho, who was Son Jun-ho's coach and teacher when he was in Pohang, said in June, `I talked to Jun-ho on the phone to comfort him because I thought it would be hard, but he was worried about me.''Don't worry, leader. There's nothing wrong with me```` he said clearly. Choi said he did not mention or ask Son Joon-ho again about the alleged match fixing, illegal transactions, and bribery. "It was the same when I first came, and Jun-ho is confident of his innocence today. You're confident, so you have to believe it. We came here because we were confident, and we can't keep asking questions repeatedly about the problem that we say is not a problem with confidence. What can I do about trusting our people?" he said, expressing a consistent belief.
Asked if he could prove his innocence against the Chinese government, the public security, and the Chinese Football Association, Choi said, `It's a matter that needs to be processed. At this stage, it's hard to say this or that when we don't know anything and the player is confident that there's no problem," he replied. "In the end, FIFA will conclude. It could include his own story, and I think we need to see if FIFA gives the player an opportunity to explain or not, and everything is still undecided," he added. Suwon FC is waiting for FIFA's decision in a embarrassing situation. It plans to make future decisions in accordance with the guidelines of the Korea Football Association and the Professional Football Federation while closely watching FIFA's conclusion on the Son Joon-ho issue. "There is no problem with Son Jun-ho's activities unless he is finally ruled that he cannot play in the (K League) game," Choi said. "It is up to the decision after consulting with coach Kim Eun-joong to play in the future game."
Meanwhile, Park Dae-yeon, CEO of Son Jun-ho's agency NEST, expressed her position through a press conference and said she would resolve Son's unfairness.
