Chungcheongnam-do Governor Bae Youth & Office worker e-sports competition will be held at Asan Yi Sun-shin Gymnasium from the 21st to the 22nd

The Chungnam Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced that it will hold the "2024 Chungnam Governor's Cup Youth & Office Workers E-Sports Competition" for two days from the 21st to the 22nd at Asan Yi Sun-shin Gymnasium in Asan, Chungnam.
Hosted and organized by the Promotion Agency and sponsored by Chungcheongnam-do, the competition has been held continuously since 2021 to make Chungnam an e-sports mecca city and revitalize Chungnam's e-sports ecosystem. According to the agency, it is a stage for local amateur athletes who love and enjoy e-sports, and a competition that is loved by local residents for various related programs.
The events of the Chungnam Provincial Governor's Cup Youth Esports Competition, which will be held on the 21st, will be held with 'League of Legends' (one team of five), 'Brawl Stars' (one team of three), 'Valorant' (one team of five), and the events of the office worker esports competition, which will be held on the 22nd, will be held with 'League of Legends' (one team of five), 'Starcraft: Remastered' (one team of three), and 'Kartrider Rush Plus' (individual exhibition). A total of 12 million won worth of prize money will be awarded to the athletes who won first to third place in each event of the competition, and the awards ceremony will be held on site.
Asan Yi Sun-shin Gymnasium, where the competition will be held, will host not only e-sports games but also various programs and events that can be enjoyed by local people of all ages. The opening ceremony will feature a celebratory performance by a two-member band 'OmO(Omo)', a local musician who discovered the Chungnam Music Creation Center, and an event match with all professional gamers will be held for two days of the competition.
In addition, various program experiences will be held including cosplay photo zones (cosplay team 'Acrown' performance), regional-linked event zones (drone basketball, game experience, etc.), play zones (nuff gun experience, online Tetris experience), arcade game/VR experience zones (bit dunk, doll pulling, VR attractions), make zones (blocks, dolls, etc.) and Chungnam PR exhibition halls.

There are various programs prepared, so I hope it will be a venue for a festival where many provincial residents can come and enjoy it. "We ask for your attention and support so that Chungnam can be reborn as an e-sports mecca city along with Chungnam E-Sports Permanent Stadium, which will be built in a new form for the first time in the country."," he said.
