Chelsea ace Cole Palmer scored an unprecedented port trick in the first half of the EPL.

Palmer played against Brighton at Stampford Bridge in London on the 28th (Korea time) in the 7th minute of the first half in the 6th round of the English Premier League (EPL) in 2024-2025 season He scored a goal storm starting with the equalizer in the 21st minute of the first half when he was dragged 0-1 by Luther.

Palmer, who returned the game to square one with Nicola Jackson's assist in the counterattack, scored an upset goal with a penalty kick from Jadon Sancho in the 28th minute and an additional goal with a picturesque direct free kick in the 31st minute. He scored his first hat trick of the season (three goals in a single game) in just 10 minutes.

It didn't stop here In the 34th minute, Carlos Valieva allowed a chasing goal, leading Chelsea 3-2 in the 41st minute of the first half, this time Jadon Sancho's pass was scored. Sancho received the ball that he stabbed into the back space of the defense and cut the net with a sharp left-footed shot that stabbed the bottom left of the goal.

It took only 20 minutes from the first goal to the fourth goal.

Palmer also became the first player in the EPL's 32-year history to make a port-trick within 45 minutes of the first half. Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane, and Elling Holan, who dominated the EPL, are also great achievements. Son Heung-min once scored four goals alone against Southampton in September 2020, but has never made a "first-half port trick" so far. Palmer wrote a milestone that will go down in history.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca launched a 4-2-3-1 formation. Jackson took the lead in offense with a one-top, and Noni Madueke, Palmer and Sancho built the second line. Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo kept the midfield. Marlo Gusto, Wesley Fofana, Levi Colwill and Mark Cucurella played four backs, while Robert Sanchez defended the goal.

Brighton had Kaoru Mitoma, Danny Welback and Giorginio Luther as three-top players. Jack Hinselwood, Mats Bifer and Carlos Valieva built the three-mids, while Pedi Cardioglou, Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk and Pervis Estunan made up the defense as four backs. Bart Pervrugen wore goalkeeper gloves.

Chelsea won 4-2 after Palmer's four goals in the first half. Sancho, on loan from Manchester United to Chelsea, has three assists in three games. Chelsea, which has recorded three consecutive league wins and five consecutive undefeated matches (4 wins and 1 draw), has 13 points, narrowing the gap between Newcastle and leading Manchester City (14 points) in the same round.

Palmer is in the midst of maintaining a 'crazy form' with six goals and four assists in six league games to date. After Holan, who scored 10 goals, he rose to second place in the scoring rankings.
