Director Lee Jung-hyo 'It's a pity that injuries occur every game, the players did their best'
"It's a pity that there's an injury in every game."

It was regrettable for Gwangju FC coach Lee Jung-hyo. Gwangju lost 0-2 to Daejeon Hana Citizen in the 29th round of the 'Hana Bank K League 1 2024' held at Daejeon World Cup Stadium on the 1st, allowing consecutive goals to Yoon Do-young and Kim In-kyun. Gwangju, which has lost two consecutive games, remained at 37 points and maintained its ranking at 7th. Considering the remaining games with seven points difference from sixth place, it has actually become difficult to go to Final A.

In a post-match press conference, Lee said, `The players in the stadium worked hard to bring out their capabilities. There are injuries. I have to check my imaginary rate, but it's a pity that I get injuries every time. The players wouldn't want to lose. I fought hard to win" he said.

Gwangju struggled under pressure from Daejeon on the day. Director Lee said "Of course. If you play against us, the opponent puts pressure on you, but if you can't beat us, you'll play a tough game like today. If we overcome it, we'll have a good game. I think I worked hard by bringing out the capabilities I have as much as possible."

Gwangju now has to play with the Asian Champions League. Manager Lee "You have to compete with the players you have today. I think I can give him a good break during the two-week break and come back and play as usual.
