The NBA is really unusual this season. It's a season of interest. This is because it is time for a full-fledged generational change.

Last season, the aging of superstars that dominated the NBA in the last decade or so was seen. Their personal data was maintained, but their team performance was not good.

LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry have lost control of the game. Injuries were frequent, and team chemistry was not made. In the end, it did not meet expectations.

On the other hand, the newcomers' progress was remarkable. The most notable players were Shai Gilzer Alexander and Anthony Edwards.

Alexander leapfrogged Oklahoma City to No. 1 West. Of course, there was an explosion of potential teammates, but the absolute ace was Alexander.

The same was true of Edwards. It made the Minnesota Timberwolves a powerhouse in the West.

In the West, Alexander and Edwards were in the spotlight, while in the East, Boston duo Jason Tatum and Jaylen Brown were once again shown to be super one-two punches.

In other words, last season, the NBA marked the beginning of a generational shift. There is a high possibility that this season will begin in earnest. While the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors were not well-received in the expected power rankings of local media such as ESPN and CBS Sports, Oklahoma City, Minnesota and Boston were still expected to be strong top teams in the East and West.

One of the reasons that generational change will pick up speed is because of Victor Wembanyama. Last season's rookie of the year, Wembanyama, is considered the best talent since LeBron James. Made a soft landing with the San Antonio Spurs last season, and already proved to be the best defender in the league. Meeting the genius point of Chris Paul this season, it is becoming the best issue to see how far Wembanyama's potential will explode.

Last season San Antonio had an uneasy main ball handler, and Wembanyama struggled despite not getting the support of his teammates properly. In addition, it is time for players who showed their potential last season to explode.

CBS Sports in the U.S. made an interesting ranking. He pointed out the top 10 MIPs that can develop the most this season.

The first place went to Wembley. It was obvious.

In second place is Oklahoma City big man Chet Holmgren, who competed with Wembley for the Rookie of the Year award last season. Third place was Brandon Miller, who is establishing himself as the ace shooter for the Charlotte Hornets, and fourth place was Scoot Henderson of the Portland Trail Blazers.
