Rio Ferdinand, a legendary central defender of England and Manchester United, introduced an anecdote related to Luis Suarez (37, Inter Miami). Even former coach Alex Ferguson, who did not touch him when it came to defense during his time at Manchester United, recalled that Suarez's case was an exception. Suarez is also the one who scored multiple goals against South Korea in the round of 16 at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, causing the pain of being eliminated. Suarez recently announced his retirement from the national team.

British media 'Mirror' reported on the 11th (Korea time) that Ferdinand unveiled Sir Ferguson's advice to stop one of the world's best strikers'

The Mirror added: "'Fudinand was a strong defender for Manchester United during Sir Ferguson's reign. Ferguson offered little defensive advice to Ferdinand but changed tactics for Suarez. Ferdinand revealed the lessons Ferguson has taught about stopping Suarez, who played for Liverpool in his prime.

Ferdinand said "In my 12-13 years at Manchester United, he (Ferguson) told me very little about defence. He never talked to me about defense. He has never even coached the defense. But I gave you a few tips, but I also had one good tip about Suarez"I looked back.

Ferdinand said "I remember when Suarez was at Liverpool and he was crazy. At the time, he was one of the best strikers on the planet. Of course we had to find a solution. Ferguson told me this" he said.

"Suarez will create a one-on-one situation with you. That's what Suarez is good at. Don't try to close the distance with Suarez at that time. Don't try to narrow the angle, but make him move first. Wait a minute and let him decide."

Ferdinand was similar to probably Nani if I approached him. They are very sensitive dribblers. I caught my weakness in response to my movement."

The Mirror said: `If you look at Suarez's record against Manchester United, Ferguson's advice to Ferdinand worked. Suarez scored two goals in seven games against Manchester United. If you look at his history of scoring 82 goals in 133 games, it can be said that the two goals against Manchester United were insignificant.

Suarez is also known for his animalistic sense of bone and his frequent misbehavior in the field.

In the 2010 South African World Cup quarter-final match against Ghana, he blocked the ball towards the goal with his hands. It was an instinctive act to prevent a run. Ghana striker Asamoah Gian missed the penalty kick, and Uruguay eventually advanced to the semifinals with a penalty shootout, making it a `hand of God.'

In the 2014 FIFA World Cup group match against Italy, he was directly sent off for biting the shoulder of opposing defender Giorgio Chiellini with his teeth and was suspended from nine A matches by FIFA. This incident earned Suarez the nickname 'nuclear tooth'.

In 2011, he won the Copa America championship for Uruguay. Suarez started his professional career with Uruguay's Nacional in 2005 and became one of the world's top goalscorers through Groningen, Ajax, Liverpool, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid. He led Barcelona's treble with Lionel Messi in 2015.

In the 2015-2016 season, when Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were at their peak, they became the top scorer in the Primera Liga.
