Jung Woo-ram of Hanwha Eagles 'Rubber arm' leaves the mound. Ends 21 years of spectacular career.
Hanwha decided to hold Jung Woo-ram's retirement ceremony in one of the remaining home games this year.
Jung Woo-ram was nominated by the SK Wyverns (current SSG Landers) as the 11th overall pick in the second round in 2004 and joined the Hanwha Eagles as an FA ahead of the 2016 season.
Jung Woo-ram played in the first team for a total of 18 seasons until last year, except for the 2013-2014 season, during his military service. In particular, he played more than 50 games in 15 of the 18 seasons he played in the first team, becoming a epitome of consistency and sincerity in the league.
Jung Woo-ram set a record for his first 1,000-game trip as a league pitcher against Daejeon NC on October 2 last year.
He then set a new record for the most games played in Asia by a single-league pitcher with a record of 1,003 games played against Lotte in Daejeon on October 15.
