He is from Namyang Elementary School, a traditional volleyball club in Hwaseong City, and his son Yeo Kwang-woo (Songsan High School, 3rd grade) is also a libero at Songsan High School in Hwaseong after passing Namyang Elementary School.

Now, as the head coach of the IBK Industrial Bank's women's professional volleyball team based in Hwaseong City, he returned to Hwaseong and reportedly expressed his gratitude to his team for giving him a chance and deep affection for his hometown of volleyball through donations.

IBK Industrial Bank, its team, has held an annual sports volleyball tournament with the aim of expanding the base of volleyball and fostering dream trees. It also delivered donations to local children's centers and local schools through donations of 'Love Spike'.

Coach Yeo Oh-hyun expressed gratitude to Hwaseong City, which is deeply connected. I hope my gratitude will be used for the development of volleyball in Hwaseong, my hometown of volleyball and a place to share a new beginning.

A club official also expressed gratitude and respect, saying, `I hope that coach Yeo Oh-hyun's goodwill will help develop volleyball in Hwaseong City, and the club will also fulfill its social responsibilities for the development of volleyball in the hometown.'
