Can it be different now. Shin Ji-eun and Si Eun-mi, a beach volleyball player from women's volleyball, have a sponsor. This is CEO Shin Seung-hyun of Lime Tree Co., Ltd.
On August 28, Regom Cosmetics signed a sponsorship contract with Shin Ji-eun and Si Eun-mi at its headquarters office in Gwanggyo, Suwon, Gyeonggi-do.
Si Eun-mi is a former professional volleyball player who has gone through GS Caltex-KGC Ginseng Corporation with the modifier 'Beauty Setter'. Shin Ji-eun is a rare case who went straight to beach volleyball without going through the V-League. He played for the national team at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. Since then, the two players have been paired up and are targeting the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Shin Ji-eun "As a beach volleyball player, the CEO's warm heart comes first. It is also very exciting to be supported as a model for a cosmetics company popular overseas for vegan cosmetics.
Partner Si Eun-mi also decided after careful consideration after receiving an offer from Shin Ji-eun to join her as a beach volleyball partner. There was also fear because I knew the reality of beach volleyball so well. However, this sponsorship really gave me a big boost. Isn't it a cosmetic model that every woman dreams of. I am so grateful for the CEO's intention to invest in our passion"" he said.
Korea's beach volleyball is synonymous with an `unpopular sport' in which there is no training ground suitable for the national team. Many players, especially professional players, are in retirement to challenge beach volleyball or to play competitions.
In this reality, Shin Ji-eun, who showed her passion as a beach volleyball player, participated as a member of the national team at the Hangzhou Asian Games and attracted attention as a "beauty player", and is showing the reality and fun of Korea's beach volleyball through various sponsorships and appearances on TV. In the reality that it is difficult to even make a living and the reality that it is difficult to train properly, Si Eun-mi joined the bold challenge.
He participated in the Philippine Nubali Competition in April and the Taiwan Taoyuan Competition on August 23 to gain a sense of play and experience in practice. Participation in the competition with the support and interest of various sponsors. In particular, this Taiwanese competition was thanks to the great support of Rigg Cosmetics.
The two athletes trained at Jamsil Han River Park because they didn't have a proper training ground. Sometimes it was so sad. I wanted to participate in many competitions around the world. Participation in this tournament was of great significance in a reality where it was difficult to find even a practitioner. In particular, even though we are lacking in Asia, it was a competition that we really wanted to participate in to objectively evaluate our skills.
Shin Seung-hyun, the head of Riggs Cosmetics, said "I heard the sad reality of young players from our staff and never thought twice. I also came all the way here with just one passion. I wanted to make a bold investment in young players who are challenging and have real beauty"I looked back.
Just in time, 'Beauty with Nature' was in line with the goals of companies and products. CEO Shin said, `All products are made based on natural materials such as Jeju matcha, Jeju sword cactus, Icheon rice bran, etc.' and added, `The appearance of Shin Ji-eun and Si Eun-mi on the hot beach was the scene I wanted. I applaud the passion and challenge, not the result."
Kim Sung-woo, CEO of Team Cube Agency (Team Cube Co., Ltd.), expressed his great gratitude to those who showed great interest in the two players, who were always saddened by the shadow of professional volleyball. It is always a scarce resource, but we are making our utmost efforts, and this sponsorship has given us a great boost. I hope it will be a process of continuing to grow together in the future."
We look forward to Shin Ji-eun and Si Eun-mi standing on the golden sand of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games two years later.
