The Korean Sepak Takraw national team ranked third in the men's and women's team events (team events) and men's quad (four-piece) events at the '2024 World Sepak Takraw Championships' held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from the 1st to the 9th. In the mixed trio category, a new men's and women's mixed trio event, he also won a total of five bronze medals in the competition.
This competition was an important stage that marked the starting point of a generational change. New players such as Kim Dong-woo (25, Daedeok-gu Office), Oh Dae-yang (27, Daegu Metropolitan City Hall), Kim Ye-ji (21, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Sports Council), and Jang Ga-yeon (25, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Sports Council) have joined the national team. The national team, which signaled a generational change with their joining, showed the progress of generational change through harmony between the old and the new at this tournament.
