The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) held the 21st 2nd board meeting and extraordinary general meeting on the 12th. At this board meeting, agendas on changing the rules of the 2024-2025 season, the venue of the KOVO Cup in 2025, and the women's Asian quarter selection method were discussed.

KOVO has changed some of its rules to keep up with the international standard of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) rules as much as possible. The number of video readings is increased from once per set to twice per set, and the number of successful or unreadable readings is maintained.

The reading method, which was initially possible to request a reading of all fouls that occurred during the rally after the end of the rally, was divided into an intermediate rally reading and a reading after the end of the rally. Intermediate rally readings can be requested for non-judgmental fouls only during rallies. However, the number of times of success or inability to read is maintained, but one point is lost in case of failure.

In addition, after the rally, the reading can only be requested for the action corresponding to the final decision, and additional readings can also be requested for other items other than the requested reading during the final action. If the buzzer sounds incorrectly during the rally, it is considered a reading request and applies one deduction and one loss per count.

Meanwhile, green cards are introduced to enhance the fair play value of volleyball games and reduce game time by shortening unnecessary reading time. If the former referee's signal first acknowledges the foul and raises his or her hand when the team's video reading or the referee requests a self-video reading, the referee presents a green card to the player. The above changed rules will be applied to the V League after a trial introduction to the Cup.

Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do, was selected as the preferred negotiation area for the 2025 KOVO Cup Professional Volleyball Competition. Yeosu City issued a letter of intent to host the bid alone in the announcement of the recruitment of the bid system held by the federation from August 7th to 21st, and next year, it will be the first time for professional volleyball to be held in Yeosu.

The probability of drawing in the women's Asian quarter, which was temporarily applied to reinforce the power of the lower-ranked team, will be changed to the same probability for all teams from 2025. As of the previous season, the top four teams (25%) will have the same probability draw after the pre-draw of the bottom three teams (40% in seventh place, 33.3% in sixth place, and 26.7% in fifth place), and from next year, all seven clubs will have the same probability of drawing 10 beads.
