Jung Woo-joo, who entered the professional league as the second overall, signed with Hanwha Eagles for a down payment of 500 million won.

Hanwha announced on the 28th that it has completed contracts with 11 players selected in the 2025 rookie draft. Jung Woo-joo, who was nominated by Hanwha as the second overall pick in the first round, recorded the highest amount with a down payment of 500 million won.

Hanwha explained that it is expected that Jung Woo-joo will contribute to the team's power in the near future after explaining that "'a pitcher who uses excellent fastballs even from the mid-150km/h speed from the soft balance.'"

Kim Min-kyu, who was nominated in the second round, signed for 160 million won, and Han Ji-yoon agreed to sign for 110 million won. Bae Seung-soo (90 million won), Lee Dong-young (70 million won) and Park Sang-hyun (60 million won) have also completed contracts with Hanwha.

Hanwha said it will provide various support for the rookies to grow into players representing the team in the future. Rookie players will make their first appearance to fans with joint first pitch and podium greetings in the match against Daejeon SSG on the 28th.
