The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (Chairman Cho Hyun-jae) announced that it held a workshop in Singapore at the end of this month for sports and healthcare companies that will participate in the global acceleration program for six weeks.

The Sports Corporation has signed a business agreement with VentureBick, a global healthcare company specializing in fostering global healthcare startups, to select 15 companies to participate in overseas programs as the organization in the sports and healthcare sector of the "2024 Global Acceleration Support Project" hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Korea Start-up Promotion Agency.

Fifteen companies selected for the project participated in the workshop held in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 2nd to share details of Singapore's accelerating program and strengthen networking between companies.

In addition to this, various programs such as investment counseling sessions for fund managers in the sports industry and special lectures on global business manners received great response from participants. In particular, Nutrition and Healthcare Brands 'Ascent Sports', which succeeded in attracting free A-round investment through VC Strong Ventures in the U.S. this year, and Golf Reservation Platform 'Kim Caddy', which was selected by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups '2024 Baby Unicorn Support Project', participated as an excellent case last year to encourage junior companies.

An official from the Sports Corporation said, "I hope this workshop helped companies participating in local programs in Singapore enter overseas markets. We will continue to provide various support for domestic sports companies to enter overseas markets."," he said.
